Damage notification

Please hand in the completed and printed form together with the damaged shipment (including all parts of the shipment) to a Deutsche Post or Postbank outlet.

Please note: DHL must be notified in writing of damage or partial loss within 7 days of delivery.

• Damage evaluation: We will return the shipment with the damage notification to the responsible parcel centre, where the damage will be evaluated.

• Delivery of shipment: After the evaluation, the shipment will be returned either to you or to the sender, according to your instructions, together with a record.

• Response: Finally, the DHL Service Centre will send a response to the original sender as the customer for the purposes of handling the complaint.

Please be aware that it may take up to 14 days (from the date of receipt) to process your damage notification.
