DHL Paket international

You do not require customs documentation to send shipments within the countries of the EU.

All countries and territories not covered by zones 1, 2 or 3.

Bulky goods: up to 31.5 kg and 200 cm in length and 360 cm in combined length and girth.

The Bulky Goods option allows you to send shipments up to 31.5 kg that

• are rectangular and measure more than 120 x 60 x 60 cm;
  
• are roll-shaped, weigh more than 5 kg or exceed a length of 120 cm or a diameter of 15 cm;
  
• are neither rectangular nor roll-shaped;
  
• have protruding parts or are loosely tied or
• have no stable external packaging of corrugated cardboard, solid board or paper.

If you wish to send a shipment in roll format, you will require a roll stamp.
The roll stamp can be obtained in your branch and in the DHL Shop.

Shipments that exceed the specified dimensions or weight must be sent as bulky items. A roll stamp is no longer required in such cases.

The cash on delivery service enables you to ensure that the recipient only receives the DHL Paket once he has paid a sum specified by you (e.g. the material value of the contents). The cash on delivery sum obtained will be transferred to your nominated account. You can obtain the transfer voucher for this in your branch.

The maximum permissible cash on delivery sum varies from country to country, and the service is not available for all destinations.

An additional charge of EUR 5.50 will be applied if an international cash on delivery transaction involves payment to an account with a third-party bank in Germany from outside the EU and/or in a non-EU currency. This charge is deducted directly from the transfer amount by Postbank.

The international value parcel service enables you to agree increased liability for your DHL PAKET International. DHL PAKET International shipments with international value parcel service are carried separately and with extra security. Please also read our notes on permissible values.

The maximum permitted sum varies from country to country. The shipment of parcels using the international value parcel service is not possible in all countries. For more information on each individual country, please visit our country pages.

* All prices are final prices and VAT-free in accordance with VAT legislation unless otherwise indicated in the individual prices quoted.

DHL PAKET International with Premium service take priority and are always transported to the destination country by the fastest means possible. The Premium service also includes transport insurance up to EUR 500.

• The price is charged in addition to the parcel price.
• Transport insurance up to EUR 500 of DHL packages (Zone 1 / EU).
• DHL packages (Zone 2-4) without Service Premium includes liability as per the conventions of the Universal Postal Union.

Before sending your parcel, specify what should happen if your shipment cannot be delivered in the destination country. To do this, please tick the sender's instructions directly on the waybill for your DHL PAKET International:

a) Return to sender (Renvoyer à l'expéditeur)If your DHL PAKET International cannot be delivered to the recipient in the destination country, it will be returned. The type of return transport will be determined by the postal company in the recipient country:

• Return via road transport: EUR 10.00 (generally used for return deliveries from European countries)
  
• Return via air transport: EUR 20.00 (generally used for return deliveries from non-European countries)

The fee is only levied if your DHL PAKET International is actually returned.

b) Abandon (Traiter comme abandonné)
If your DHL PAKET International cannot be delivered, it will not be returned to you, but rather auctioned off or sold by the recipient country's postal company. You will not be charged anything for this.

Climate-friendly shipping of your parcel can be requested exclusively when you frank it via DHL Online Franking.
