We are currently in the process of again switching a few PACKSTATIONS for new, bigger models. This will give you significantly more compartments to use. The structural changes will take between two and three weeks to complete. Thank you for your patience.

If shipments are sent in the meantime to one of the affected PACKSTATIONS, we will let you know as usual via SMS and/or e-mail about which nearby post office we have redirected your parcel to.

The popular service from DHL is still a runaway success, even after ten years of operation – with more than 200,000 compartments in over 1,600 German towns and villages.

Over the next few weeks, we will be setting up more than 30 PACKSTATIONS at various locations for you which will virtually all be in the vicinity of PACKSTATIONS that are already extremely popular. This means that we will be able to create even more room for your packages near you.

The new PACKSTATIONS will be available to you over the course of August at the following locations.

Please note that the machines will be taken out of service one day before they are removed due to preparatory work needing to be carried out. Generally speaking, you should not have any parcels sent to an affected PACKSTATION for around one week before its scheduled removal date.

If any parcels are sent in the meantime to one of the affected PACKSTATIONS, we'll let you know as always about where we've redirected your parcel to - i.e. the nearest branch of the post office - via SMS and/ or E-mail.

We'll also be putting two new PACKSTATIONS at the following locations. These will be available for use from the opening dates shown.

Due to their extreme popularity, we're going to be upgrading a number of parcel machines over the next few months. You'll then be able to enjoy new, modular machines that offer significantly more capacity.

To allow the upgrade work to be carried out, the PACKSTATIONS will be unavailable for around 2 to 4 weeks. A list of the affected sites can be found in the table below.

The upgrade work is scheduled to take place in March and April.

DHL PACKSTATION is expanding capacity at 45 particularly popular sites in Germany. The modular construction of the new machines allows for the flexible expansion of Packstation compartment needs. This way, redirection of packages to a branch will largely be avoided.

Modular Packstations will be installed over the next few weeks in the following cities:

Berlin, Bielefeld, Bonn, Braunschweig, Bremen, Dortmund, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Eppelheim, Fürth, Garching, Greifswald, Hamburg, Hannover, Ingolstadt, Cologne, Krefeld, Magdeburg, Mannheim, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Munich, Munster, Nuremberg, Paderborn, Saarbrücken, Salzgitter, Starnberg, Wiesloch.

As of now you can also collect points from Paket&Punkt with PAKETBOX. For each PAKETBOX shipment made, we'll give you 10 points - you can even get 50 points on your first five PAKETBOX shipments!

They're now part of the streetscape in countless German cities - Packstations from DHL, that is. At the end of 2008, there were around 1,500 Packstations in service across Germany, and to date a further 1,000 have been added.

By the end of 2009, up to a further 100 Packstations are to be installed, bringing the number of parcel machines at Esso petrol stations to a total of 175.

From now on, you can send your Esprit returns very conveniently via PACKSTATION even without having to register first. Simply stick the enclosed returns sticker on the parcel, scan both barcodes at the PACKSTATION, place the parcel in the compartment, and that's it!

You can now save up to EUR 1 on postage when you send your shipment via a Packstation. You can therefore send parcels for EUR 5.90¹ and packages for a sensational EUR 3.90¹!
