Permissible valuable items

Permissible content for national and international parcels.

Valuable items are - except class II valuables - permitted up to a maximum value of EUR 25,000 per parcel. Higher values more than EUR 25,000 are inadmissible generally.

The following valuable items are permitted in national parcels:

Class I valuables, up to a maximum permitted value of EUR 25,000

Class II valuables, up to a maximum permitted value of EUR 500

If sending class I and II items together in the same parcel, the maximum value of EUR 25,000 must not be exceeded. The total value of the class II items must not exceed EUR 500.

The following valuable items are permitted in international parcels:

Class 1 valuables, up to a maximum permitted value of EUR 25,000

Class II valuables, up to a maximum permitted value of EUR 500

If sending class I and II items together in the same parcel, the maximum value is always that of class II.

For international delivery, certain items must always  be shipped with the [> International Value service]:

  • Coins, banknotes, paper money or securities in the name of the holder
  • Platinum, gold and silver in processed and unprocessed form
  • Precious stones, jewels and other precious items
  • Jewellery and watches with a value of over EUR500 per parcel


Other valuable items that do not fall under class I or class II should be treated as class I, i.e. up to a maximum value of EUR 25,000 per parcel.
