How can I have my shipment picked up?
You can request a pick-up of your national and international shipments online. Pick-ups are effected only in Germany.
Online request via DHL Online franking
With DHL online franking, you can frank and pay for parcels weighing up to 31.5 kg online. If you wish, you can also arrange a pick-up at your preferred time for EUR 3.00 (incl. VAT) per basket. The pick-up service is free for four shipments or more per basket.
Your shipment is picked up, if requested by 10 p.m., on working days (Monday - Saturday) as part of the delivery. If your request is not received before 10 p.m., your shipment will be picked up on the next again day.
For EUR 6.00 (incl. VAT) per basket, your shipments will be picked up within your chosen time window. Here, you can choose between a pick-up period between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. or between 12 midday and 5 p.m. for baskets containing parcel shipments.
For express products, the following pick-up windows apply: 9 a.m. - midday, midday - 3.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. - 7.30 p.m.
Pick-ups can be requested up to 30 days in advance.
With the stamp service in the online franking section, you can have the shipping documentation brought along when the parcel is picked up. This service is only available for the national sending of Paket shipments (10 kg - 31.5 kg).
Pick-up request for franked Paket shipments
At www.dhl.de/abholauftrag, you can request a pick-up for your pre-franked Paket shipments and, if you wish, also book a time window. The payment is possible via POSTPAY. After registration you can pay via paypal, credit card, debit, electronic remittance or giropay.
Requesting a pick-up by telephone with coupon code
With DHL pick-up sets, you can also request a pick-up for shipments that have already been sufficiently franked by telephone. You can obtain DHL pick-up sets from the DHL Shop. Each pick-up set contains three coupon codes, one for each pick-up request (up to 20 shipments) on a business day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

When will my shipment be picked up?
Generally speaking, your shipments will be picked up at the time you have specified, at the earliest if your request was received by 10 p.m., on working days (Monday - Saturday) as part of the delivery. Generally speaking, the shipment will be picked up between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., in some cases until 8 p.m. If your request is received after 10 p.m., your shipment cannot be picked up until the next again day.
If you request a pick-up via the online franking service and also request a time window, or if you request a pick-up for pre-franked shipments, you can also have your shipment picked up during a preferred time window.
How can I cancel a pick-up request?

If you have completed the payment process for your basket including pick-up, you can cancel the pick-up online or by calling +49 (0)228 286 098 - 98. You must cancel before 8 p.m. on the last working day before the pick-up date.
What happens if I am not at home when a DHL employee calls to pick up or deliver an item?
If you are not at home when a DHL employee calls to pick up a franked shipment, you must place another pick-up request.
For pick-up requests where the delivery agent is bringing the stamps to you, he will generally place these in your letter box so that you can drop the shipment off at your nearest branch.
Alternatively, you can also drop off your Paket shipment at a PACKSTATION or a Paketbox.
