DHL recipient service - Post office direct

For people who are rarely at home during the day: use the option of having your shipments send directly to a post office branch of your choice. Simply select your preferred branch via the Postfinder, e.g. a post office branch that is on your way to work.

How it works

1. Register at

Simply register free of charge with Are you already registered at or Packstation? Then simply log in on the right in the grey login area.

If you have already completed your registration at a post office, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in the next few days that will explain the next steps to you.

2. Selecting your preferred branch

Choose a branch near you that is participating in the programme to which your parcel is to be sent.

Also note: You are not tied to one specific branch; you can specify a new participating branch each time you receive a parcel if you wish.

3. Ordering parcels

When ordering parcels to your home address, always specify your PostNumber if you wish to receive an e-mail and/or SMS message regarding the delivery of your shipment to your preferred location.

4. Notification

When your shipment arrives at your preferred post office, you will receive an e-mail and/or SMS message notifying you that you can pick your shipment up from there.

5. Receiving parcels

You will receive an e-mail and/or SMS message telling you that you will find your shipment at the preferred location if your PostNumber is included on the parcel's label. In any event, the delivery agent will put a notification card in your letterbox.
