The successful delivery of a DHL parcel is generally documented through the signature of the DHL deliverer. With the "Signed for by recipient" service, business customers can arrange for the recipient's signature to be obtained if required.

The service can be ordered directly via DHL's dispatch logistics system ("Send" function in the Post & DHL Business Customer Portal). You can also use the service if you program your own systems in-house. 

The DHL deliverer scans the shipment locally on the recipient's premises and confirms the handover through the recipient's signature. The successful delivery and obtained signature are subsequently displayed in the information system and made available to you through the customary interfaces.

This service is relevant for all sectors in which it could be necessary to obtain the recipient's signature, e.g., for downstream invoicing processes with contractual partners.
