The transaction value method is only applicable as a method of calculating the customs value if the buyer and seller are not related or the relationship did not influence the price, Art. 70(3)(d) UCC.
When determining the customs value, it is therefore necessary to examine whether the contracting parties are related and whether this relationship has influenced the price.
Note: If the price of the goods is affected, we are obliged to send for these sellers an additional notification to obtain detailed information (exact value) regarding the respective price change. This is done at the request of the local customs authorities and may additionally delay processing.
