Remote Areas are locations that are difficult to access and may therefore be subject to additional surcharges. We recommend checking whether your shipment’s destination is classified as a Remote Area before shipping.
When shipping with DHL Europaket, Remote Areas may include specific regions or islands within Europe. To support your planning, we provide an overview of these areas on this page as well as in the accompanying CSV file.
The information published on this page is valid from 1 January 2025.
Remote Area lists are updated every one to two years, typically effective 1 January.
The next update will take effect on 1 January 2027. Currently, the applicable postal codes for both 2026 and 2027 are available for each destination country.
Please note
Shipping with DHL Europaket is not available to the following special territories. Shipments to these destinations can only be sent using DHL Paket International: Faroe Islands, Greenland, French Overseas Territories and Departments, Heligoland and the territory of Büsingen (part of Germany, but located within Switzerland), the Isle of Man, as well as the non-European territories of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
