Help with cancelling parcel labels

Frequently asked questions about cancelling parcel labels

  • On the shopping cart page, click on the appropriate link in the "Cancel shipping labels" section
  • Select the shipping labels to be cancelled.
  • A message appears with a security question. Please enter the displayed security code and click on "Send".
  • After successful entry, the online cancellation will be carried out.

Important notes:

  • Please note that cancellation is only possible within 14 days of purchase.
  • A refund is only possible if the label has not yet been printed or downloaded.
  • Exception: If the label was purchased while logged into the DHL customer account, it may be downloaded but must not have been handed in yet.
  • To prevent an unwanted download, you can deactivate automatic downloads in your browser settings. To do so, check the option: "Ask where to save each file before downloading".

You can cancel an already printed shipping label through our customer service within 14 days after purchase. Please let us know your shopping cart number. You will find this number at the top of the order confirmation.

Please note that the cancellation is only possible if the shipping label has not yet been used for parcel shipping.

DHL Prepaid Paketmarken (shipping labels) that have been affixed incorrectly or have become unusable due to other circumstances (e.g. water damage, slip of the pen) will be exchanged for new Paketmarken of the same value according to your wish. The exchange is free of charge for you.

A prerequisite for the exchange is that the shipping label is unused.

Please note that addresses on shipping labels that have been crossed out or corrected with TipEx do not comply with the General Terms and Conditions and therefore have to be exchanged.

The shipping labels to be exchanged need to be sent to the following address:

Tip: To be able to prove the submission of the shipping labels, we recommend that you send them by parcel or registered mail.

Note: This only applies to physical shipping labels. Online shipping labels that became unusable can be cancelled via your shopping cart within 14 days (if the labels were not printed yet) or contact DHL Customer Service.
