Help with franking via the Post & DHL App

Frequently asked questions about the mobile parcel stamp

You no longer need to print your shipping label yourself in DHL Online Franking.
Instead, you can have the Mobile Parcel Stamp printed for you at a post office or Poststation, in a DHL Paketshop, at a Packstation, or by your DHL delivery agent.* Simply use the QR code provided after purchase in the order confirmation or in the Post & DHL app.

Benefits

  • You no longer need a printer for Online Franking.
  • You can create the shipping label entirely on your mobile device. If you purchase the Mobile Parcel Stamp via the Post & DHL app while on the go, you can have the shipping label printed directly at a post office or Poststation, in a Paketshop, at a Packstation, or by a DHL delivery agent.* You only need to scan the QR code.
Alternatively, at an app-controlled Packstation, the PAK-ID can be entered manually.

* Due to required customs documents, shipping labels for destinations outside the EU can currently only be printed at post offices, Poststation terminals, and Packstations equipped with a printer.

As usual, you buy your parcel label through DHL Online franking or the Post & DHL App.

For shipments within Germany, you will always receive a PDF download link and a QR code in your order confirmation e-mail.

Decide for yourself whether you:

  • use the link to download the shipping labels in PDF format and print them out yourself

or

  • alternatively, show the QR code on your smartphone or tablet at a DHL location or at a DHL delivery agent of your choice and have the label printed out there.*

For apple users: you can also save your mobile parcel label from the order confirmation directly in your Apple Wallet (Passbook).

Yes, you can also send a shipment at a Packstation using a QR code.

If the Packstation is equipped with a printer, you can print the shipping label directly there, attach it to your shipment, and place the parcel in an empty compartment.

At Packstations without a printer (except app‑controlled Packstations), scan the QR code of your Mobile Parcel Stamp and insert the shipment without a shipping label. At app‑controlled Packstations, enter the PAK‑ID or RET‑ID via the app. The delivery agent will print the label for you when collecting the parcel.*

Note: Always place a note with the shipment information (e.g., recipient, sender) inside your parcel. If the label on the outside becomes illegible or falls off, this will still ensure correct processing of your shipment.
