With the Visual check of age service, you commission DHL in an uncomplicated and convenient way that your parcels are not handed over to children and adolescents under the age of 16 or 18 years.

The service takes into account the recipient's age at the moment of delivery, e.g., when sending CDs/DVDs with age restrictions (FSK 16) and PC and console games (USK 16).

Insurance for high-value goods

For an increased level of security and protection against the unlikely event of loss or damage during shipment.

Ensure that your parcels are protected against loss and damage, even if their value exceeds the liability limit of EUR 500. Higher values (except for class II valuables*) can be assured with the additional insurance service up to EUR 25,000.

With the Cash on Delivery service, you ensure that delivery only takes place after payment of the specified amount.

For flexible customization of your parcel shipping tailored specifically to your needs.

In case the recipient cannot be determined at the given address, your undeliverable item gets a second chance to reach the recipient - thanks to the retail outlet routing service. Rather than being returned immediately to you, the undeliverable item will be held at the nearest retail outlet that has a parcel collection point for collection by the recipient. Your recipient will be informed of this by e-mail. If the item is collected, the time and costs involved in returning it can be avoided.

YOUR BENEFITS

  • Avoiding returns: You can reduce the number of undeliverable items returned to you and avoid having to resend them.
  • Greater customer satisfaction: You improve customer satisfaction by having an e-mail notification sent to yourself or the recipient of any undelivered item that is held at the retail outlet for collection. That means your item has a second chance to reach its recipient.
  • Opportunity to interact: As an alternative to the collection notification sent by DHL, you can also contact your customer directly. This enables you not only to request all the relevant information, but it is also a great opportunity to interact with your customers, for example, for increasing customer loyalty or improving the address quality.
  • Attractive price: There is no initial charge for ordering the retail outlet routing service; charges only apply if the item cannot be delivered (recipient unknown at the address provided) and is therefore sent to the retail outlet for collection (Parcel EUR 1.99 in each case / Warenpost - Merchandise Mail € 1.49 in each case, plus VAT). If the item is not collected from the retail outlet, it will be returned to the sender, which is subject to the return fee.

With the parcel recall service you can stop your DHL Paket or DHL Kleinpaket throughout Germany even after it has been handed over to DHL, e.g. if you suspect payment default or if the order is cancelled at short notice.*

* The parcel can only be stopped if it has not been loaded into the delivery vehicle.

YOUR BENEFITS

  • In the event of suspicion of mail order fraud: Recall your DHL Paket and/or DHL Kleinpaket to avoid the loss of your merchandise if you suspect your customer will default on payment or if your customer's credit rating is poor

With the individual collection order service, you can arrange for your items to be conveniently picked up at your preferred address anywhere in Germany. Simply arrange pick-up online or through our DHL Customer Service.
